Role in the project
Steklarna Hrastnik (HRA) serves as the pilot site for SOEC integration in continuous, high-demand industrial conditions. The site enables testing under fluctuating energy profiles, using waste heat and renewables for hydrogen production. HRA, one of the first glass factories in the world to conduct industrial trials with hydrogen comburent, brings into INDTEGRATE project valuable know-how on on-site hydrogen integration for safe and efficient SOEC deployment. Final integration and validation at HRA site will demonstrate the scalability and (techno-economical) industrial relevance of INDTEGRATE’s approach for decarbonising glass industry.
